Richard Brendon Taking Up Residency in the Iconic Fortnum & Mason

The residency will take place from 17th April to 30th June. In celebration we have recreated our striking bone china pattern, Superstripe, in the iconic Eau De Nil exclusive to this residency.

London-based tableware designer Richard Brendon is setting up a Spring/Summer residency in the iconic Fortnum & Mason department store on Piccadilly, St James’ London. A space on the first floor will be dedicated to the beautiful bone china, cut crystal, and fine glassware collections upon which Richard Brendon has built his eponymous brand.

The residency is a true celebration of British heritage. The now world-famous department store on Piccadilly opened its doors in 1707, and within the century, England became world renowned for inventing bone china in Stoke-on-Trent. Richard Brendon’s bone china collections are entirely made and decorated in Stoke-on-Trent.

Fortnum & Mason was one of Richard’s first major retailers when he launched his brand in 2013, and now, he is recreating one of his most celebrated bone china patterns, Superstripe, in the iconic Eau de Nil. The Superstripe Collection is inspired by history and powered by pattern, the result of a true collaboration with the pattern powerhouse, PATTERNITY. Initially launched in cobalt it is now being reimagined in the fresh and instantly recognisable Eau de Nil exclusively for this residency.

The residency will launch with a Meet the Maker event on the 1st floor of Fortnum & Mason on Thursday, April 18th, at 5 p.m., with founder Richard Brendon. This is a non-ticketed public event, but you can reserve a spot. All are welcome to drop by for a drink and a canape.
