The Precision universal Glass is beautifully proportioned and has all of the essential features of the Original, such as a fine rim and a perfectly formed tulip-shaped bowl. It offers fantastic expression for all types of wine, from sparkling wines, still wines, to fortified, sweet and beyond. The perfect solution for gifting, dinner parties or simple every day moments.

Collection Story
Pairing wine expertise and refined design, the Jancis Robinson Collection is the result of a truly collaborative cross-disciplinary partnership between Richard Brendon and world-renowned wine expert, Jancis Robinson OBE MW. The universal Wine Glass at the heart of the collection is the only stemmed glass you will need to enjoy every wine at its best, including sparkling wines, port, sherry, sweet wines and beyond.
The universal glass comes in two variants, the Original mouth-blown glass, which is gossamer thin and entirely hand made, and Precision glass which is machine made and formed of slightly thicker glass but has the same bowl shape and refined aesthetic as the Original.

Craftsmanship Story
All pieces in the collection, other than the Precision glass, have been expertly mouth-blown by masters in their field. There are very few glassblowers who have the skill to make glassware as fine and exacting as was required, but rounds of international sampling revealed some of the very best fine glassblowers in the world. These craftspeople individually hand make the Original Glass, as well as the stemless Water Glass and decanters, so while each piece conforms to our high standards, there may be slight elements of variation which show the touch of the human hand.
The Precision glass is machine made by one of the best glass blowing machines in the world. Each piece is identical to the last, providing the level of consistency and precision that can’t be achieved when hand making. The bowl shape has been designed to match the shape of the bowl on the Original glass, but machine blowing the piece provides a little more weight that many people seek out.
Product Care
DISHWASHING
We recommend washing drinking glasses in the dishwasher to avoid unnecessary handling. Always ensure glassware is placed on the top shelf of your dishwasher ensuring adequate space between each piece so they do not clink together during the cycle and adhere to the dishwasher manufacturer’s advice on machine adjustments and programs.
HAND-WASHING
If you cannot wash your glasses in a dishwasher, you can wash them by hand.
POLISHING
If your glassware requires polishing, please use one or two large microfibre cloths, and ensure that you never hold the glass by the foot. Hold the bowl of the glass with a cloth in one hand and tuck the remaining fabric into the bowl of the glass. Whilst cupping the bowl, gently move the glass in a circular motion to remove any residual moisture. Once the bowl is dry, use the cloth to polish the stem and the foot, ensuring your bare hands do not touch the bowl of the glass.
