Terms and Conditions
The Richard Brendon Chip Warranty applies for all Richard Brendon Bone China products which:
- Were purchased for private, residential usage. Commercial usage in restaurants, bars or business premises is exempt.
- Were registered within three months after purchase via the stated method of registration on richardbrendon.com
- Were purchased from richardbrendon.com or any official Richard Brendon retail partner within the UK or USA. The warranty is not available outside of these countries.
The Chip Warranty excludes all glassware products.
Unless the product is registered, no Chip Warranty is granted. Accordingly, the Chip Warranty applies starting from receipt of our e-mail to confirm product registration. If an item already suffered breakages before registration, Richard Brendon is not obligated to offer any compensation for this item. No compensation is offered for intentionally damaged items either.
The warranty period for chips in registered items is three calendar years from the purchase date. Our Chip Warranty can only be claimed once per registered product. It does not continue to apply for the replacement product received free of charge.
If a registered item suffers chipping within the warranty period that was not caused intentionally, this warranty claim must be submitted by e-mail to the e-mail address info@richardbrendon.com.
At the latest, claims may be submitted three years after purchase on the same calendar date as the purchase. We will confirm receipt on the following business day. If a message is not delivered due to a spam filter or the like, it will be considered as not delivered after one week without any further reaction.
In the event of a warranty claim, Richard Brendon will provide compensation for the broken product by delivering a replacement product free of charge. If the registered product is no longer available in the event of a warranty claim, Richard Brendon may replace it with a comparable product at its discretion. There is no claim to reimbursement of a monetary value or cash payment. Upon delivery and receipt of the replacement item, the Chip Warranty for the registered item lapses. The replacement item itself no longer falls under the warranty.
We grant the Chip Warranty for registered Bone China items for private use in accordance with the item’s intended purpose. Accordingly, the Chip Warranty lapses in the event of commercial use, e.g. in gastronomy, work cafeterias/kitchens, commercial holiday homes or in case of improper use. All chips that result from non-standard or improper use, as well as complete or partial breakage of the chinaware, are excluded from this guarantee.
Richard Brendon reserves the right to exclude products from the Chip Warranty at any time and without prior announcement at its due discretion, or to cease allowing registration of any products or to revise the terms of participation for the future. For already registered products, the contractual terms valid on the day of registration continue to apply until the end of the warranty period.
