What's on our Christmas Reading Gift List

Here at Richard Brendon, we all love good food, wine, tea and cocktails, so when we're not eating or drinking it, we're most likely reading about it.

Amongst all of the Christmas festive fun, we're looking forward to settling down and reading the below. We've asked some of the RB team to share with you which books feature on their Christmas lists this year...

Amongst all of the Christmas festive fun, we're looking forward to settling down and reading the below. We've asked some of the RB team to share with you which books feature on their Christmas lists this year...

1. Bazaar Cookbook by Sabrina Ghayour

on Emma's reading list

"I adore hosting and cooking for people, and admittedly her previous books, Feasts and Persiana are my dinner party Bibles (her wild rice salads look particularly divine in our Dip bowls). Not only are the dishes remarkably easy to make, but they look and taste impressive. Sabrina's next book focuses purely on colourful and vibrant vegetarian recipes from the Middle East. With more and more people choosing to cut down on their meat consumption, this would be the perfect beginner's guide to a new way of cooking!"

2. The Quality Chop House by William Lander, Daniel Morgenthau & Sean Searley

on Jeanne's reading list

"I can't stay away from The Quality Chop House. Whenever anyone asks me for their Sunday roast recommendation in London this has to be it. I was so excited to see that they've now released a cook book for it, so at least I can attempt to re-create their game roast at home."

3.  Menus that made History by Alex Johnson and Vincent Franklin

on Celine's reading list

"Have you ever wondered what Duke of Wellington's Waterloo Banquet consisted of? Or what was on the Christmas menu at Alcatraz? To be honest, it's not something that ever crossed my mind beforehand, but now you mention it....! This book is a cross between all sorts of brilliant anecdotal tales, and well-researched menus- the stories are going to go down a storm with my family!"

4. Schofield's Fine and Classic Cocktails

on Sam's reading list

"What am I doing when I'm not in the studio? I'm probably drinking a cocktail, or making them, or reading about them. I've always loved experimenting with what's on my drinks trolley at home, so no doubt I will be religiously reading this over Christmas - hopefully my family don't mind being my cocktail guinea pigs!"

5. The World Atlas of Wine, Eighth Edition by Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson

on Lily's reading list

"We couldn't not include our favourite pair. Hugh and Jancis took two years to pull together this latest edition of the Atlas, featuring 20 new maps and plenty of new countries. It's the lengthiest version yet, so definitely not manageable in one sitting, however I will no doubt be dipping in and out for more info when there's another bottle to open! To be paired of course with our Jancis Robinson glasses."

6. SIP by Sipsmith

On Miren's reading list

"Our good friends at Sipsmith have launched their very own cocktail book, featuring all sorts of wonderful gin cocktails with only 3 ingredients. As a gin lover myself, this will be my go-to this Christmas for fun cocktails. Look out for cocktails with our Fluted and Diamond collections inside!"
