The Line Collection first launched as the cornerstone of our dinnerware range. Defined by a single, hand-painted line around the rim, the design intentionally steps back to let the food take centre stage. The concept of mix and match was inspired by Richard’s childhood, where his mother hosted dinner parties using an eclectic assortment of pieces, choosing whatever felt right in the moment. This relaxed and spontaneous approach to dining forms the foundation of Line, a collection created to be used and enjoyed every day, enhancing the experience of even the simplest meals.
Each Line colour is carefully chosen with intent, some rooted in ceramic history and others designed to resonate with modern tastes. Cobalt and Burnt Orange are a nod to traditional ceramics. For example, Imari palettes where rich reds and deep blues paired with gold have long defined bold, Japanese-inspired ceramics. Gold remains a timeless favourite, blending into any shade of tablescape while adding a refined touch of luxury. For Line Gold, we use real 22 carat best burnished gold, a process that takes longer to complete but results in a beautiful finish. Matte Black offers striking contrast and modernity, and its formulation was particularly challenging to perfect while maintaining the consistency of our glaze.
Our latest additions to the palette, Forest Green and Pink, introduce fresh versatility to the collection. Forest Green brings richness and understated elegance, grounding the table with depth and warmth. We imagine it to be perfect for winter tablescapes, particular mixed in with Line Gold. Pink, exclusively for mugs, in contrast, adds a joyful lift, perfect for spring and summer dining.
We have also introduced a new design feature, the Double Line. While retaining the clean and modern feel of the original Line, the addition of a second hand-painted rim brings an elevated level of craftsmanship for those seeking a touch more detail.
Our Bone China is among the strongest ceramics in the world, 30 percent stronger than porcelain, incredibly chip resistant, and trusted enough to carry a chip warranty. Traditionally reserved for ornate and formal pieces, we have reimagined Bone China for contemporary use. It is perfectly white, finely crafted in coupe shapes, and each piece is finished with a hand-painted line. Made to be used every day, and we encourage exactly that.
