BE OUR VALENTINE? WHERE TO SPEND VALENTINE'S DAY THIS YEAR

With Valentine’s Day looming increasingly near, time is of the essence to plan the perfect day of love. Thankfully for the disorganised romantics amongst us, we’ve put together our favourite ‘date night’ spots for a little romance on the 14th.

Afternoon Tea at Corinthia, London

Less ‘date night’ but no less romantic than the other options on our list, afternoon tea at Corinthia, London this Valentine’s Day is the perfect precursor to the evening’s fun. With a twinkling piano, an overflowing champagne trolley and Loic Carbonnet’s delectable selection of sweet delights served on our Superstripe collection, there are few better ways to spend the daylight hours of the 14th. 

 

We are always a fan of Carbonnet’s signature Gugelhupf, which changes swiftly with the season, and a glass or two of the Hotel’s favoured Laurent-Perrier.

Sultry Cocktails at Be-oom 

For a sensual pre-dinner drink, Be-oom’s Tea Shop and Garden may not seem the obvious choice at first. But come the evening, this sleek and contemporary tea room transforms into a sultry cocktail and wine bar. Cleverly blending their vast selection of teas into tantalising cocktails, including the above serve in our Classic Cocktail Coupe, their garden hideaway is an ‘in the know’ date night must.

A Weekend Getaway at Gleneagles

A dinner reservation at the best place in town is all very well, but nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like a weekend getaway. Our first choice is Gleneagles for a weekend of braising walks, golfing on their world renowned course, and a cocktail or two in The American Bar. 

 

The height of glamour, The American Bar’s decadent decor and elegant cocktail list, served in our Fluted Collection, is a splendid start to any Valentine’s dinner and a truly opulent way to say ‘be my Valentine?’.

A Hint of Drama at Dean Banks at The Pompadour 

Sticking to a Scottish note, the acclaimed chef's latest venture, Dean Banks at The Pompadour, is the place to be in Edinburgh this Valentine’s. With dramatic views of the castle whilst you dine, this is sure to make for a memorable evening. Banks’ passion for local produce and a fabulous tasting menu that includes the well-loved ‘Nana’s Banoffee’, is topped off perfectly with the bar’s signature Valentine’s cocktail.

Pre-Dinner Drinks at The Swan Bar at Maison Assouline

 

For a highly opulent pre-dinner drink, The Swan Bar at Maison Assouline is a must. Set in a former bank, the calming atmosphere of the bar is a most-welcome respite from hectic Piccadilly. With its high ceilings and expertly curated bookshelves, the bar is the art lovers dream. Perfect for picking up a last minute present whilst indulging in their curated cocktail menu, a table for two here will be the place to be on the 14th. 

 

Our drink of choice? A Champagne Cocktail, served, of course, in our Fluted Champagne Flute. Whether a pre-theatre drink or an aperitif before a Mayfair Restaurant, there are few better ways to win you everlasting love.
