ESPRESSO MARTINI

First up we have everyones best pick-me-up, the classic Espresso Martini from our friend Morten @thecocktail.blog. Dick Bradsell revolutionised the cocktail scene in London in the 1980s, when a young supermodel asked for a cocktail that would 'wake-her-up'. Using vodka, sugar, coffee liqueur and a shot of espresso from the coffee machine next to his station, the Espresso Martini was born. Read on to see Morten’s fabulous take on this typically British beauty.

Espresso Martini

INGREDIENTS

4.5 cl London Dry Gin

2.5 cl Coffee Liqueur

4.5 cl Freshly Brewed Espresso

1 tsp. Rich Sugar Syrup (2:1)

A Pinch of Sea Salt

by @thecocktail.blog

METHOD

1 - Simply shake with a handful of ice taken from our Classic Ice Bucket for 30 seconds.

2 - Then double strain into a chilled Prism Goblet.

3 - Garnish with Blood Orange and Coffee Beans.

Enjoy or as Morten would say Skål!

BEE'S KNEES

Here we have a drink for the sweet but sour lovers, and another special from @thecocktail.blog. The zingy lemon is balanced harmoniously by the unique flavour of the sweet honey syrup. This drink has no clear origin, but “the bees knees” is a phrase used at a time that means “the best”, and we can’t argue with that.

                                                    The Bee’s Knees

INGREDIENTS

6 cl Butterfly Infused Illusionist Dry Gin

3 cl Fresh Lemon Juice

3 cl Honey Syrup

2 Dashes Lemon Bitters (optional)

by @thecocktail.blog

METHOD

1 - Shake with ice taken from our Classic Ice Bucket.

2 - Fine strain into a Prism Double Old Fashioned Tumbler over Ice.

3 - Garnish with a Lemon Wheel.

Enjoy/Skål
