Speck
Every piece in the Speck collection has a unique identity, decorated with a seemingly random array of dots, the design has been inspired by the manufacturing process of the material. When bone china is fired in the kiln, metal elements in the clay can react leaving tiny black dots on the otherwise perfect pieces. These black dots are known as ‘speck’ and are traditionally considered imperfections.
The Speck collection celebrates these random and unavoidable imperfections. Wherever a speck appears, it is covered by a small, circular dot. The result is a refined and graphic collection where no two pieces are the same.
