Richard Brendon has created a new bespoke bone china collection for the iconic London department store Fortnum & Mason. The Chevron collection draws inspiration from Georgian and Victorian teaware and celebrates the beautiful design and craftsmanship that has typified British ceramics for the past 250 years.

Inspired by pieces from the Derby and Davenport potteries, Chevron takes the popular zigzag detailing of the era and gives the design a contemporary twist by amplifying it into a dynamic starburst effect. Made entirely by master craftspeople in Stoke-on-Trent, the Chevron collection is decorated with a traditional dark blue and gold palette, and is perfect for both every day use and formal occasions.

In 2014, Richard Brendon joined forces with world leading pattern innovators, PATTERNITY and Fortnum & Mason to help realise the dream of rejuvenating and repositioning the British bone china industry.  The collection warps perceptions of what bone china can look like. Launching this striking collection in Eau De Nil perfectly combines Fortnum and Mason’s 300 years of excellence in tea, with our striking and modern approach to fine bone china.
